Criscito Pizza recently shared on Instagram that a brick-and-mortar restaurant is in the works. As confirmed by a recent ABC permit filing, the mobile pizzeria shares it will make its new home in the Torrey Hills neighborhood.

The announcement reads, “After nearly a decade of catering, we’re opening a pizzeria…with walls, doors, and everything else. Lease signed. Stay tuned.”

Specializing in wood-fired, Neapolitan-style pizza, Criscito Pizza takes inspiration from owner Philip Brynildsen’s upbringing in New York. Now based in San Diego, Brynildsen has grown the business to serve the North County region with food truck service and pop-up pizza ovens at weddings, corporate events, and private parties.

Menu highlights include the classic Margherita pizza, the Brooklyn with sausage, banana peppers, mozzarella, tomato sauce, and parm, or El Spicy with jalapenos and Calabrian peppers. Signature fan favorites include the Honey Basil Garlic, and the Carbonara topped with a roasted egg and bacon.

Criscito Pizza is expected to open doors in Torrey Hills in July 2023. Get updates and a sneak peek of their new kitchen by following on Instagram
