A new boba chain is gearing up for a fast expansion in the US, with Southern California on its list. Daboba is headed for Santee next according to a recent permit filing with the city. The location will join Mission Gorge Square Shopping Center on Carlton Hills Boulevard.
Daboba brands itself as a tea culture and more than your average boba spot. Established in 2018, the Malaysian-based company is reaching outward toward global recognition of their brand through franchising.
The Daboba USA Facebook page announced their plans to open locations in Los Angeles, San Diego, San Francisco, as well as Miami, Denver, and New York.
The first stateside outlet is scheduled to open on January 1, 2022 in Houston, Texas. Their specialty is the Roasted Brown Sugar Pearl Fresh Milk Tea, topped with hand-torched caramelized brown sugar. They also serve their unique brand of golden pearls in a variety of milk teas, fruit teas, and matcha blends.
According to a rep for Daboba, the SanTea location is expected to open in Q2 2022. Follow the Daboba USA Facebook page for location updates as they continue to expand.
