The Encinitas Mexican restaurant Death by Tequila is expanding with a third restaurant. According to SanDiegoVille, the tequila bar is planning a full renovation of the retail space on the corner of University Avenue and 30th in North Park but the exact location of the new restaurant is unconfirmed.
Death by Tequila is operated by Empress Capital Investments, the team behind the new Crown Point brunch spot The Hen House. The original Death By Tequila opened in Encinitas in 2018, growing with a second restaurant in Carmel Valley in 2020.
Specializing in elevated Baja-style cuisine, DxT menu is rich in seafood dishes like ceviche, aguachile, and gourmet tacos. Pick your poison with an ample selection of tequila options and signature cocktails like Death by Margarita or Death by Paloma.
