Delah Coffee, an authentic Arabian coffee brand based in Northern California, is getting ready to make its Southern California debut in San Diego with a new location in North Park at 3959 30th St.
The company’s fifth location is set to move into a part of the former home of Il Postino Restaurant, according to documents submitted to the San Diego Department of Environmental Health and Quality. Owner Majed Jahamee tells What Now San Diego that this location is under construction, and he recently submitted the drawings plan to the city, so it’s hard to say exactly when this cafe will open. Jahamee says he hopes to open around April 2025.
The authentic Arabian coffee shop currently has two locations in San Francisco and additional sites in Berkeley and Oakland. All locations honor the traditions and culture of Yemen and offer a variety of breakfast food, espresso, cakes, Turkish baklavas, specialty teas, frappes, and more. This will be an excellent spot for the company’s Southern California debut, considering it will sit on a busy North Park street. While its neighbor, Caffè Calabria, might seem like competition at first, these two cafes beside each other bring a wide range of coffee from different regions. Calabria specializes in coffees from South and Central America.
“Everything we do is a matter of heart, body and soul,” according to the company’s website. “Our mission is to provide sustainably sourced, hand-picked, micro-roasted quality coffee. Great coffee is our passion, and we want to share it with you. We believe that coffee is more than just a drink – it’s a social experience that brings people together. That’s why we’ve created a comfortable space with a friendly atmosphere where you can enjoy our coffee and connect with others.”
