A brand new concept, The Escondidio Social Taproom, is getting ready to make its debut later this year in Escondido, located at 132 N Kalmia St.
This new taproom is set to move into the former home of Little Miss Brewing, according to a recent liquor license application. Little Miss Brewing, once the county’s largest independent brewery with 10 locations, closed all sites after final service on Friday, March 14. Since then, several businesses have slowly taken over the previously occupied spaces, including Hopnonymous Brewing, replacing its Normal Heights location.
Now, a new concept, The Escondido Social Taproom, will take over the Escondido location. Owner Aldo Barboza, who is opening the concept with Mathew Holden and Ethan Loos, tells What Now San Diego that the new business will open in mid-July 2025. Not much is known about The Escondido Social Taproom other than the fact that it is owned and operated by passionate business owners born and raised in the area.
This will be an excellent location for The Escondido Social Taproom. It is adjacent to the Escondido Public Library and near Grape Day Park, which hosts regular community events. The California Center for the Arts is also nearby. These landmarks drive consistent foot traffic, supporting strong customer flow. The surrounding downtown area is walkable and home to other restaurants and shops, encouraging visitors to explore.
