Galū Cafe is preparing its debut on Third Avenue in Chula Vista. According to a recent filing with the City of Chula Vista, the business is in the process of making tenant improvements to transform the 306-square-foot space formerly occupied by Barber’s Den into a new coffee shop.

Located between Memorial Park and the South County courthouse, the Instagram page for Galū Cafe promises what Third Avenue needs. The new spot will feature craft coffee beverages and grab-and-go sandwiches.

The new cafe recently hosted its first pop-up events, partnering with Relic Bageri, an artisan bakery operating from a commercial kitchen site in Miramar. Galū Cafe debuted its cold-brew-espresso-based drinks like the Lemon Mint Tonic, Horchata Latte, and Black Sesame Latte, paired with Relic Bageri’s Danish and French-inspired pastries.

Galū Cafe will be hosting pop-up events at their space while construction is underway. An official opening date has not been announced. Get to know Galū Cafe by following on Instagram.
