A brand new concept, Giovannetti’s Italian Cuisine, is set to make its debut later this year in Vista at 1011 S Santa Fe Ave Ste A & B.

The new restaurant is the latest venture from owner Yesenia Zambrano, according to a recent liquor license application. Zambrano tells What Now San Diego that the concept is expected to open by the end of July 2025. Chef Jair Santos will head the kitchen, who recently placed third in this season’s Favorite Chef competition, according to Zambrano. Santos previously served as executive chef for Pizza & More. Giovannetti’s will offer a menu centered around pizzas and pastas, with nightly entrée specials crafted by Santos.

Chef Santos’ evolving menu is expected to set the tone for an upscale yet approachable dining experience. The combination of classic Italian staples and unique specials aims to appeal to a wide range of tastes. Zambrano hopes the new concept will fill a gap in Vista’s dining scene. With strong community interest, the restaurant is poised for a strong opening.

This will be an excellent location for the new restaurant because the retail plaza sees steady foot traffic from nearby shops, a grocery store, and schools. The area attracts local families and daily commuters, increasing the potential customer base. High visibility and convenient access from major roads increase the site’s appeal. These factors will contribute to Giovannetti’s Italian Cuisine quickly becoming a neighborhood favorite.
