Harland Brewing Company, a San Diego-based craft brewery, is planning to open a full-service restaurant and taproom at the Mission Bay Golf Course and Practice Center in San Diego at 2702 N Mission Bay Dr.

The new 2,000-square-foot space is already built out and includes a ventless hood system, walk-in cooler, counter infrastructure, ADA-compliant restrooms, and a finished interior buildout, as reported by SanDiegoVille last year. While the news was not confirmed by What Now at the time, a recent liquor license application shows the project is moving forward. The concept will feature a patio facing the golf course and surface parking accessible from North Mission Bay Drive. Harland will have exclusive rights to serve food and drinks to on-site users and plans to offer breakfast, lunch, dinner, and drinks daily.

Founded in 2018, Harland Brewing Company has expanded steadily across San Diego County. The Mission Bay location will add another prominent setting to its growing portfolio, aligning the brand with one of the city’s busiest recreational areas.

While the company closed its One Paseo tasting room last year, Harland continues to operate a brewpub in South Park and The Ocotillo at Harland in Scripps Ranch, and recently opened its first full-service restaurant in 4S Ranch, signaling a shift beyond its original tasting room model.

“As a Rancho Bernardo resident and parent, I know how hard it can be to find a place that truly works for the whole family,” Jeff Hansson, CEO of Harland Brewing, said in a recent press release. “Our community is full of families looking for great food, a welcoming atmosphere, and a place where kids feel just as comfortable as adults. My hope is that Harland 4S Ranch becomes a gathering place for the neighborhood and a staple in the community for years to come.”

At 4S Ranch, the menu expanded to include shareable appetizers, salads, bowls, and entrees such as braised short rib and half-roasted chicken, alongside handheld items available at other locations. Beverage offerings include Harland beers on tap, cocktail-inspired seltzers, cider, and wine.
