Ikaria, a new fine-dining concept inspired by the Greek island of Ikaria, is set to open in La Jolla at 10960 Alexandria Way.

The restaurant will be located in One Alexandria Square, near Torrey Pines Golf Course, according to the San Diego Union-Tribune. The project is led by the family-owned team behind Puesto and Marisi, who are overseeing both operations and culinary direction. Ikaria is expected to open in Summer 2026, offering seasonal Eastern Mediterranean dishes and a variety of food- and culture-focused experiences. Ikaria’s beverage program will be led by Beau du Bois.

Ikaria draws inspiration from the island of Ikaria, known as one of the world’s “Blue Zones,” regions associated with longevity and wellness. The concept emphasizes Eastern Mediterranean flavors and traditions, bringing a coastal, seasonal menu to La Jolla. Rockwell Group, a New York–based architecture and design firm, is designing the space, ensuring that the dining environment complements the culinary vision.

The restaurant is intended to be more than a standard dining experience. It will serve as a culinary and cultural hub, offering programs including wine and cooking classes, fermentation workshops, and other educational events. These experiences are designed to engage customers beyond the plate and provide insight into Eastern Mediterranean food culture.

The menu is expected to feature fresh, seasonal ingredients sourced locally and regionally, reflecting both the flavors of Ikaria and the coastal California setting. Signature items and house-made preparations are anticipated to highlight vegetables, seafood, and other regionally inspired specialties, paired with a curated wine and beverage program.

This La Jolla location will be the first for Ikaria, marking an expansion of the Puesto–Marisi team’s portfolio into educational, destination-driven dining. Its proximity to Torrey Pines Golf Course and One Alexandria Square positions the restaurant to attract both local diners and visitors seeking a high-quality, culturally immersive dining experience.
