Jersey Mike’s Subs, a New Jersey-based submarine sandwich chain, is getting ready to open a new location in San Diego at 5401 Linda Vista Road.
The company’s upcoming location is planned for The Presidio strip mall at the bottom of Linda Vista Road, according to documents recently submitted to the San Diego Department of Environmental Health and Quality. Area Director Cathy Brown tells What Now San Diego that the store will be owned and operated by her and her husband. An opening date has not yet been determined.
The Linda Vista location is part of Jersey Mike’s continued expansion across the San Diego market. Brown previously shared that multiple new stores were in development throughout the region, with several openings planned within the same year. This new site follows the previously reported La Jolla opening and reflects the brand’s steady local growth strategy. The Linda Vista store adds another neighborhood-focused option to the chain’s San Diego footprint.
The Presidio shopping center, located at the intersection of Linda Vista Road and Napa Street, serves as a retail hub for the surrounding area. The center is within walking distance of the University of San Diego and is frequented by nearby residents, students, and commuters. Its location near major freeways makes it accessible from multiple parts of the city.
This will be an excellent landing spot for Jersey Mike’s Subs as it continues to expand into established neighborhoods. Jersey Mike’s is known for its made-to-order submarine sandwiches prepared with fresh sliced meats and cheeses. The menu includes both cold subs and grilled hot options, along with customizable toppings and bread choices.
Founded in 1956, Jersey Mike’s has grown into one of the largest sandwich chains in the country. California remains one of the company’s most active markets for new development. The Linda Vista opening represents another step in Brown’s ongoing efforts to grow the brand across San Diego.
