East County based cafe Kako Dates and Nuts are preparing to open their second location in Downtown San Diego. Labeled a boba cafe and grill, the new Kako Dates will move in at 950 Fifth Avenue at Broadway

Kako Dates and Nuts has been serving organic dates, gift platters, Turkish Delights, healthy snacks and drinks from their El Cajon cafe since 2006. Beyond premium filled organic dates, guests can indulge with nutrient-rich date shakes, flavored milk teas with boba, fruit slushies, and smoothies. 

A rep for Kako Dates tells What Now San Diego the menu at the new location will be expanded to include breakfast and lunch items from the grill. 

Kako Dates Downtown is in its early stages of planning and an opening date is dependent on the city permitting process. Look for more updates by following Kako Dates on Facebook
