After recently announcing its second location coming to San Diego County, Kalaveras is getting ready to expand further south, opening a new site in Chula Vista at 340 Third Avenue.

The company’s southernmost location will move into the former home of Culichi Town and, before that, Fuddruckers, according to a recent liquor license application. On top of several sites throughout Southern California, Kalaveras currently has one area location in Temecula, with the company recently announcing another site coming to Escondido early next year. Brothers Jose and Francisco Brito will now bring this popular concept down to San Diego’s South County sometime early next year.

The recent announcement proves Kalaveras has no intentions of slowing down. The two brothers founded the company in 2016, and it has 24 locations throughout Southern California, ranging from North Hollywood, San Bernadino, and Orange County. When it opens, customers can expect vibrant interior designs with delicious Mexican dishes and twists, such as Mexican-style sushi, and plenty of alcoholic options with over 100 different varieties of tequila and mezcal.

On top of this being the company’s southernmost location, it will be an excellent site for Kalaveras’ South County debut. Many patrons of the short-lived Chulichi Town believed the establishment was too loud and overpriced, leaving many wishing Fuddruckers would return. Kalaveras will have no problem getting customers in its doors with its reputation and the extreme amount of foot traffic from Memorial Park and other surrounding businesses.
