Dust off your luchador mask because Lucha Libre Gourmet Taco Shop has plans for a third outpost along the coast. According to a recent permit filing and confirmed on their website, the taco shop has taken over the 450-square-foot unit previously occupied by B-Mo’s Sandwich Shop in Pacific Beach.
Owners and brothers Jose Luis, Maurilio, and Diego Rojano-Garcia opened Lucha Libre in 2008 inspired by Mexican professional wrestling. Lucha Libre operates a flagship restaurant in Mission Hills and a second location in North Park.
Much like the luchadors themselves, Lucha Libre Gourmet Taco Shops incorporate the excitement and colorful flair of wrestling culture into the design of their spaces. Guests can reserve special seating at the “Champions Booth,” a VIP area designed for diners who want to get the full wrestling champion experience.
On the menu, bring your warrior appetite for a variety of California burritos, BYO bowls and salads, pork or plant Adobada tacos, and loaded Champion Nachos or fries.
An opening announcement for Lucha Libre in Pacific Beach has not been shared. Follow Lucha Libre Gourmet Taco Shop on Instagram for updates.
