Wolf and Woman Owner Kaci Goff wants to test the waters at her soon-to-be opening restaurant in Vista. The pop-up restaurant may be just the start for Goff.
“We’ll be operating a takeout menu for people to come and pick up,” Goff explained.
Goff anticipates a mid-April opening and may even look to opening a brick-and-mortar location by the end of the year.
“Right now it’s about getting our name out for the next several months,” she said.
Wolf and Woman started in 2017 in Seattle and hopes to add a new flavor to northern San Diego.
With Malaysian Tamil cuisine, Wolf and Woman will offer dishes like Maitake dumplings, Penang Laska noodle and Garam masala lamb shank.
“I grew up in southern California and spent most of my career in LA,” Goff said. “I want a different scene. Somewhere laid back.”
She said the new space will provide her a commissary kitchen to work out of and landscape with which to grow. Wolf and Woman is currently in the process of moving into 2515 Pioneer Ave., in Vista near several local watering holes such as Booze Brothers Brewing, Twisted Horn Mead and Cider and the Belching Beaver Pub 980.
“We want to see the north county area and feel out what area would be best for a brick-and-mortar,” Goff added.
