Manzanita Roasting Company, a San Diego-based coffee roasting company, is getting ready to open a new cafe in Ramona.
While no exact address has been announced, the company’s website notes the cafe will be located in the heart of Ramona and is expected to open in Spring 2026, according to a recent Instagram announcement. The company’s third location will transform a 1920s building from its former use as an insurance office into a walk-in cafe with inside seating, a patio, and an outdoor garden. Online ordering will also be available, with a dedicated parking space for pickup. Customers can expect specialty espresso drinks, cold brew, lattes, pastries, and breakfast sandwiches.
Founded in 2015 by husband-and-wife team Weston and Sam Nawrocki, Manzanita Roasting Company began as a small-batch roaster on the historic Bernardo Winery in Rancho Bernardo. Weston, a classically trained chef and WSET Level 3 Sommelier, transitioned from wine to coffee roasting, while Samantha brought experience as a winery marketing director. Since then, the brand has grown to inclcafesafés in Rancho Bernardo and Escondido, earning national recognition and awards for its small-lot coffee and roasts.
The Ramona location marks the company’s thcafecafé and expands its presence in North County San Diego. The space will provide a community-focused environment with seating both indoors and outdoors. This will be an excellent landing space for Manzanita Roasting Company, offering the same high-quality coffee and breakfast items found at its other locations.
The menu will feature classic espresso drinks, cappuccinos, lattes with house-made sauces like brown butter and lavender, cold brew, seasonal beverages, and a selection of breakfast items such as avocado toast, egg sandwiches, and pastries. All drinks are made with double shots of espresso, and customers can customize iced or hot options, along with online ordering for pickup.
Manzanita Roasting Company’s expansion reflects the brand’s focus on craft coffee, quality ingredients, and community engagement. The owners have built a loyal following with their thoughtful approach to sourcing, roasting, cafecafé experience.
“We’re so excited to share that Manzanita Roasting Company is coming to Ramona late this spring!” according to the announcement. “Our cafe will be opening inside this beautiful 1920s building, many of you may already know. A space we’re honored to transform from its former life as an insurance office into a warm, welcoming place to gather. We can’t wait to bring thoughtfully crafted coffee, beautiful latte art, and a space built for connection to this community. Ramona, we’re looking forward to serving you!”
