Mar Rustico took to social media to announce their relocation from Old Town Urban Market to an undisclosed location in Chula Vista

Operated by owner Priscilla Curiel, Mar Rustico is the Baja-style seafood counterpart to Tuetano Taqueria also found serving at Old Town Urban Market. Curiel is also behind the National City coffee shop, Mujer Divina, which serves homestyle burritos.

Mar Rustico serves up authentic Mexican seafood dishes, taking inspiration from the Southern Baja region like La Paz and Cabo San Lucas. Their menu features a variety of ceviche bowls, Baja-style fish tacos, smoked marlin burritos, and clam chowder, served alongside local and Mexican craft beers.

According to their recent Instagram post, the new location will allow Curiel to work from her home city of Chula Vista. They also assure guests that Mar Rustico’s best sellers will still be available at Tuetano Taqueria alongside their well-known bone marrow birria tacos and tortas.

The new Mar Rustico is expected in Chula Vista by 2024. Follow Mar Rustico on Instagram for updates on the relocation.
