Bay Area-born restaurant Mas Fuego is due to debut in San Diego in 2023. Featuring a trendy Latin-fusion menu and tequila bar, the restaurant is in the process of setting up in The Shoppes at Carlsbad.
The concept is part of Spectra Global Cuisine, the restaurant group behind Zip Korean BBQ and Zip Pan-Asian Noodle Bar. Spectra Global Cuisine operates one Mas Fuego location in Fremont and will replicate the concept in Sacramento and Carlsbad this year.
Taking inspiration from Mexico, Spanish-style tapas, and flavors of South America and Korea, the menu at Mas Fuego includes shareable portions and options from land and sea.
Menu highlights include Agua Chile Ceviche, Pulpo Spanish Octopus, Tomahawk Steak, and street tacos with your choice of chicken rojo, carne asada, or Korean bulgogi.
At the bar, Mas Fuego serves margaritas and palomas by the pitcher, mojitos, a Mexican Mule, plus tropical cocktails like the Caipirinha Leblon Cachaca.
Spectra’s Director of Operations, Julie Lee, tells What Now San Diego that the new Mas Fuego is expected to open by Summer 2023. Get to know their menu by visiting their Website and follow Mas Fuego on Instagram for more information.
