Morning Lavender, an Orange County-based clothing retailer, is preparing to open a new outpost in San Diego with a cafe at 329 South Highway 101, Suite 120, in Solana Beach.
The company’s newest location is set to move into the ground floor of the Sandbox apartment complex, according to a recent Type 41 liquor license application, which would allow the store to serve beer and wine, much like its location in Tustin. While it’s unclear when this new location will open, customers can expect a one-of-a-kind boutique that offers a variety of clothing options and an all-day cafe with everything, including coffees, milk teas, and pastries delivered from local bakeries.
Seating is on a first-come, first-served basis, and pastries will likely sell out early. The Orange County location sources all of its pastries from local bakeries, so the company will likely do the same with local San Diego bakeries when it opens. In addition to plenty of coffee and tea options, Morning Lavender Cafe also offers delicious avocado toast and a Teapot for Two. The company also provides a private, space-limited Afternoon Tea Service on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.
Some of the most popular drink options at Morning Lavender Cafe include the cafe’s signature drink, the Lavender Latte, made with the company’s Morning Lavender Edition espresso, house-made lavender syrup, and your choice of milk. The cafe also offers seasonal drinks during this time, including a churro waffle latte, an iced pumpkin chai, and a maple cinnamon matcha. The new North County location will be a perfect site for the company’s third location and first in San Diego, considering Solana Beach is known for its vibrant retail and dining scene.
