Andreane, a Kyoto-inspired matcha and wellness cafe concept, is getting ready to open in San Diego at 1050 Garnet Avenue, Suite A.
The new concept is set to move into the former home of Cabo Cantina, which operated at the address from 2006 until its closure in February 2025, first reported by SanDiegoVille. Owner Love Andreane tells What Now San Diego the team is targeting a Spring 2026 opening, with a soft opening planned as the space is finalized. Customers can expect a matcha-focused experience with wellness drinks, coffee, and light food offerings, along with a calm, community-driven atmosphere.
Andreane is an extension of 12 Hrs Matcha Cafe, also founded by Love Andreane. The new concept will operate as a reserve-style expansion of the brand, with a phased rollout as the space is completed. This marks a continued presence in Pacific Beach for the growing business.
The concept draws inspiration from Kyoto, with a focus on intentional design and daily rituals centered around matcha. The space is designed to feel calm and welcoming, offering more than a standard cafe setting. The business is also woman-owned, shaped by the founder’s personal and professional journey.
Menu offerings will include premium ceremonial-grade matcha, along with coffee, specialty lattes, baked goods, and Blue Zone-inspired items focused on nourishment and longevity. The goal is to provide a mix of beverages and light food that aligns with the wellness concept.
“Andreane is deeply personal to me,” Andreane tells WhatNow San Diego. “It’s built from my journey—starting from a shared space in Chula Vista to building 12 Hrs Matcha Cafe, and now expanding into a larger concept rooted in wellness and community. More than a cafe, it’s a space created to give back, inspire, and bring people together through everyday rituals.”
