Prince Street Pizza, known for their square-cut pizza and cupped pepperoni, is planning a San Diego location. A new permit filing with the city places them at 415 Market Street, a corner property previously occupied by Mariscos El Pulpo at Fourth Avenue.

The no-frills, New York City pizza brand has expanded with locations in Miami and West Hollywood. Their menu boasts The Original SOHO Square Pies, Neapolitan Style Round Pizza, and Signature Sauces like the Spicy Vodka and Fra Diavolo

The brand has had its PR challenges this year, restructuring management due to unsavory racial remarks via Yelp and Instagram, as reported by Eater LA and Eater NYC.

Despite newsworthy remarks, they seem to be pushing ahead with growth. What Now San Diego could not reach Owner Domenic Morano to confirm the new San Diego location. No opening date has been announced. The new business is listed under Cassidy Frey, which suggests the company is expanding with franchise ownership.
