In June 2021, Pamir Kabob House addressed their loyal customers via social media to announce that after many years serving their community, they would be closing their Rancho Bernardo restaurant.

“The past 15 months have been challenging as a small business. After careful and deliberate consideration, we are going to reinvent our business to adapt to the new market conditions,” shares The Amiri Family on social media.

Now the restaurant is getting ready for their promised relaunch, in a new home at 737 Pearl Street in La Jolla Village. The address has been previously occupied by Chedi Thai Bistro and Qala Peruvian Seafood, which closed in early 2021.

What Now San Diego spoke with Owner and Chef Noor Amiri about the announcement of their new location on social media. Amiri confirms his family is working on the remodel of the space and plan to welcome customers back at their table in late October.

Their menu includes a variety of traditional Afghan dishes such as kabobs marinated in house spices, curry dishes, and stews like the Qabeli Palow served with basmati rice. Pamir Kabob house is family owned and run, and their food is representative of the Afghan cuisine from the foothills of the Pamir Mountains.
