A new restaurant is in the works for Escondido.
In a liquor license filed with the California Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control, Grand Occasions on Grand plans to open as a general eating place with on-sale alcohol at 301 E. Grand Ave.
Sharing the same location as The Ritz Theater in the cultural heart of Escondido on Grand Avenue, SanDiegoVille reports that the new project from the Grand Restaurant Group will be a rooftop bar at The Ritz. It is expected to open in the summer.
Owner Sandra Dicicco, Chief Executive Officer with the Grand Restaurant Group, could not be reached for comment prior to publication.
The Grand Restaurant Group’s properties include Bellamy’s Restaurant, Nick & G’s Restaurant, and more.
The Ritz Theater was first established in 1937 and has been fully restored as a premier performance venue and community event space.
