Pure Green, a health-focused smoothie and juice chain, is getting ready to open in Carmel Valley at 3830 Valley Centre Drive.
The company’s new location will be situated in the former home of Highlands Jewelers within the Piazza Carmel shopping center, according to recent filings with the San Diego Department of Environmental Health and Quality. The company’s website indicates that this store is scheduled to open in April or May 2026. Franchise owner Theresa Batiller tells What Now that she hopes this will be the first of many new locations, but wants to see how her first Pure Green location performs. When it opens, customers can expect a focus on fresh, nutrient-rich offerings designed for convenience and wellness.
Founded in 2015 in Florida, Pure Green has expanded across multiple states, focusing on high-quality, made-to-order smoothies, acai and pitaya bowls, cold-pressed juices, and functional wellness shots. The Carmel Valley location will mark the brand’s continued growth on the West Coast and its commitment to delivering health-conscious options in communities with strong demand for wellness-focused dining.
The new Carmel Valley store will be takeout only. The company has consistently positioned itself in high-traffic, health-oriented neighborhoods, and this location is expected to attract both residents and professionals seeking nutritious, convenient meals.
Pure Green’s menu will feature smoothie options, including Pure Green, Mocha Cold Brew, and Purple Haze, as well as acai and pitaya bowls, avocado and nut-based toasts, and cold-pressed juices. Many items offer plant-based, vegan, and gluten-free options, catering to a wide range of dietary preferences.
“I wanted to do a business that aligned with my values,” Batiller tells What Now San Diego. “I’ve been in corporate for 22 years and always wanted to run my own business, but I wasn’t sure how. A franchise was a good start. I wanted something focused on health and wellness—Pure Green’s products are clean, gluten-free, and free of fillers and preservatives, and if I’m going to sell something, it has to be something I would consume. I also liked that I could start small and connect directly with customers, and I love their mission of building healthier communities.”
