Ringer’s Roller Rink, an outdoor skating venue and community-focused entertainment concept, is getting ready to open a new location in San Diego at Seaport Village along the Embarcadero.

The company’s second location is set to take over an outdoor area previously used for picnic tables near the Lighthouse District, on a site that once housed Seaport Market before it was removed following a 2020 fire, according to the San Diego Union-Tribune. While an exact opening date has yet to be announced, the project is targeting a Summer 2026 debut pending permit approvals. Customers can expect roller skating, rentals, retail, and a snack bar offering classic rink-style food.

Owned by Nili Goldfarb, a former competitive roller derby player, Ringer’s Roller Rink has operated its original Encanto location for about six years. The Seaport Village expansion marks the company’s second site and a step into a more prominent waterfront setting. The rink itself is designed to hold up to 50 skaters at a time and will feature a new smooth concrete surface. Additional elements include shade sails, bench seating, and a mural wall created by a local artist.

The project also includes a retail and rental space located in a building formerly occupied by Indian Trails Gallery, which has since relocated within the village. The shop will carry branded apparel, including T-shirts, sweatshirts, and hand-painted jeans, along with select skating gear. Rentals will include skates and protective equipment, making the space accessible to a wide range of visitors.

A key part of the new location will be its snack bar, which will serve classic roller rink treats designed to complement the experience. While specific menu items have not been detailed, the offering is expected to include familiar, casual options that are easy to enjoy between skating sessions. The snack bar will function as a central gathering point, supporting both skaters and visitors spending time along the waterfront.
