A staple in the North Park community, Subterranean Coffee Boutique is planning its next venture in La Jolla. A recent permit filing places the cafe in La Jolla’s International Shops, replacing Elixir Juice.

Owners Kelsey and Gene Padigos currently operate two Subterranean Coffee locations: a homey, community-focused coffee shop in North Park, and a quick neighborhood stop for coffee and acai bowls in South Park.

Subterranean Coffee locations offer freshly roasted coffee and classic espresso drinks, signature lattes, chai, matcha drinks, and smoothies. A great place to settle in for work or socializing, the North Park hub offers AM options like breakfast sandwiches, burritos, and bagels, and a lunch menu with sandwiches, wraps, and salads.

Owner Gene Padigos Jr. confirms the new Subterranean Coffee is expected to soft open soon. Stay tuned for updates by following Subterranean on Instagram
