Sunmerry Bakery opened their first San Diego shop in Mira Mesa in Spring 2022, with plans to expand into the Kearny Mesa area. As promised, the brand has leased their second location in Kearny Mesa Shopping Center on Othello Avenue, next to Target.
Established in Taiwan in 1986, Sunmerry specializes in pastries that use Japanese baking techniques fused with Taiwan flavors. Sunmerry operates ten locations in California and two storefronts in New Jersey.
Sunmerry offers over 80 types of bread, baked in-house daily, plus filled danish pastries, Portuguese Egg Tarts, Green Tea Croissants, cake rolls, and decadent layer cakes.
To drink, Sunmerry Cafes offer Brown Sugar Boba Milk Teas, Golden Pineapple Green Tea topped with Salted Cheese, Cold Brew Lattes, and many more specialty drinks.
