The Alley looks to be growing their San Diego footprint. A new permit filing pins the Instagram-worthy boba tea chain to their next location at Westfield UTC.

Leading the way in growing The Alley in Southern California is the Orange County based company Kei Concepts. Locations are currently open in Fountain Valley, Irvine, Las Vegas, and Katy, TX.

What Now San Diego previously shared news about what looks to be San Diego’s first location in Clairemont Mesa. The boba tea shop is planned for Balboa Mesa Shopping Center but an opening date has not been announced.

The Alley makes their signature “Deerioca” (brown sugar boba pearls) in house daily. Their boba is served warm and is best enjoyed stirred nine times (rather than shaken) before drinking so as not to alter the temperature of the Deerioca.

An opening timeline for The Alley in UTC has yet to be shared. Follow The Alley on Facebook for more news on their continued expansion.
