Fresh on the heels of opening a location in St. George, Utah, The Crack Shack continues its focus on new development plans. According to a plan review submitted to the city, the chicken restaurant looks to be moving forward on a location in the Pacific Beach neighborhood, just steps from the pier and Mission and Garnet Food Hall.

The brand hatched in San Diego back in 2015 and with immediate success, went on to open two other Southern California restaurants in Encinitas and Costa Mesa. The Crack Shack now operates nine restaurants, expanding into Utah, Las Vegas, and most recently in Texas

In an interview with Nation’s Restaurant News, Crack Shack’s Director of Operations, Dan Peña, mentions that the brand has adjusted its offerings based on what it has been able to learn about the new communities it joined in recent years.

Offering quick service and convenience at its restaurant on the Vegas Strip, The Crack Shack also released a line of signature sodas called Shack Sips exclusively sold in its Utah locations. While on the menu in San Diego, The Crack Shack offers a line of fresh salads, as well as its tried and true fried chicken sampler platters and sandwiches.

SanDiegoVille reported back in 2022 about the restaurant joining the redeveloped property that formerly operated as a Denny’s on Mission Boulevard at Garnet Avenue. The brand has plans to grow further this year, adding locations in Colorado and Arizona next.

A rep for The Crack Shack shared to What Now San Diego that details would be revealed soon on its new local project. For more information, visit The Crack Shack Website
