The Lost Abbey, a renowned San Diego craft brewery recognized for its Belgian-style and barrel-aged beers, is set to open a new tasting room at 1347 Keystone Way, Suite C, in Vista.
The company’s new location will take over the former home of Eppig Brewing’s production facility, according to SD Beer News. This location features a 30-barrel brewhouse and an extensive cellar that The Lost Abbey has already been using to brew its signature beers. They’ve also set up a dedicated tasting room inside the production area, separate from Mason Ale Works’ main taproom in the building. Founder Tomme Arthur is in the final stages of securing full control of the facility, with plans to expand the tasting room and hospitality space, making this opening a major step forward for the brewery.
When it opens, customers can expect to find The Lost Abbey’s well-known lineup of handcrafted beers, including favorites like Avant Garde, Devotion, and Inferno, plus a variety of barrel-aged sour and wild ales. The brewery’s focus on small-batch production and oak barrel aging ensures rich, complex flavors that have earned it a devoted following and numerous awards.
Visitors can look forward to enjoying flights, pints, and special releases in a cozy, industrial-style space designed to celebrate community and craft. With the full takeover of the facility in the works, The Lost Abbey plans to grow its offerings here, including special events and collaborations that highlight its deep roots in San Diego’s craft beer scene. The new Vista tasting room will welcome guests Monday through Friday from 4:00 to 9:00 p.m., Saturdays from noon to 9:00 p.m., and Sundays from noon to 7:00 p.m.
