The Taco Stand, a popular Mexican chain restaurant from Showa Hospitality Group, is preparing to open a new location in Oceanside at 1722 S. Coast Highway, Suite A-4.

The company’s 14th location, and sixth in San Diego, is expected to move into a busy shopping district in South Oceanside, according to documents submitted to the Department of Environmental Health and Quality. Aram Baloyan and Julian Hakim founded the first Taqueria in La Jolla in 2013, followed by locations in Downtown San Diego, Encinitas, North Park, and more. The company is now getting ready to expand within San Diego again, opening this location later this year.

When the new location opens, customers can expect Tijuana-inspired street tacos that are more authentic than most Mexican restaurants in the area. On top of various tacos, including carne asada, al pastor, and pollo asado, The Taco Stand also offers burritos, quesadillas, breakfast, and more. Other concepts from Showa Hospitality include Convoy Music Bar, Showa Ramen, Himitsu, and more. Like these concepts, The Taco Stand offers delicious Mexican food and drinks, regardless of location.

“Our authentic taco experience features handmade corn tortillas, our grade meats, and freshest ingredients used to make our guacamole and salsas from scratch daily,” according to the company’s website. “Besides amazing tacos and burritos, we also have a great selection of Mexican flavored popsicles, refreshments, imported beer, and freshly prepared Rosarito-style churros.”
