Todo Pa’ La Cruda Mexican, a local favorite in San Diego’s Grant Hill neighborhood, is preparing to open a new location in Barrio Logan at 2196 Logan Avenue.

The company’s second location is set to move into the former home of Salud Tacos, which closed its doors last month. Owner Elizabeth Ruiz tells What Now San Diego that they are waiting on final inspections, which are scheduled for the end of this month, before moving forward with the opening. Ruiz says she is hoping to open the restaurant sometime next month. The interior of the former Salud space will remain unchanged, except for a few touches here and there.

When the new location of Todo Pa’ La Cruda Mexican opens next month, customers can expect an all-day menu full of favorites from the restaurant’s original location. The restaurant will offer a wide array of fresh food, including enchiladas de mole, rib eye con huevos, tostada de camaron, mulita al pastor, camaron agua chile, taco el borracho, milaneza con arroz, and quesabirria. Todo Pa’ La Cruda Mexican will also have plenty of beer and wine for its customers.

This is an impressive achievement for Ruiz, who moved to San Diego with her family in the early 1990s from Acapulco. She launched Todo Pa’ La Cruda Mexican restaurant on Imperial Avenue in 2020, and not only survived the pandemic but came out ready to expand for the first time. Ruiz has signed a five-year lease for a corner space down the street from Chicano Park.
