Incoming concept HONEYJAM has been in the works for some time, What Now San Diego originally shared news of the restaurant in 2022. The restaurant is preparing to open at Renaissance Towne Center, neighbor to another long-awaited restaurant called Hanyuzu Ramen (opening still TBD).
Ownership for HONEYJAM shares with What Now San Diego that after a series of hurdles and construction delays, the Korean restaurant is in the final stretch and preparing for its last inspections ahead of opening.
For now, social media gives a peek into the proposed menu at HONEYJAM Chicken & Beer, featuring Korean pub-style options like generously seasoned or sauced chicken wings, fried chicken sandwiches, kimchi pasta, rice dishes, melty corn cheese, paired with a selection of beer and Soju cocktails.
The team is putting the final touches on the interior, which is said to feature a minimalistic and modern design.
While an exact date is unclear, HONEYJAM’s owner promises it’s “around the corner.” Be the first to hear an update by following on Instagram.
