Jimbo’s Announces 6th Location in Scripps Ranch-Poway, Opening 2026

This new 25,000 sq. ft. store marks another milestone in Jimbo’s journey of providing high-quality organic and natural foods to the San Diego community

As San Diego’s leading natural foods store celebrates its 40th anniversary this month, Jimbo’s announced an exciting expansion: the opening of their 6th location in Scripps Ranch-Poway in 2026 at The Watermark by Sudberry Properties. This new 25,000 sq. ft. store marks another milestone in Jimbo’s journey of providing high-quality organic and natural foods to the San Diego community.

This new store will join the planned 5th location in Mission Valley’s Civita development, slated to open in 2027. The Civita development, another project by Sudberry, is set to become a vibrant mixed-use community hub. Jimbo’s currently operates four locations in Carmel Valley, Escondido, 4S Ranch, and Carlsbad.

Jimbo’s stands at the forefront of the natural foods industry, driven by a commitment to quality, sustainability, and community relationships. Over the past year alone, Jimbo’s has invested over $2.6 million in organic local produce through direct-to-source relationships with San Diego farmers. Jimbo’s commitment to doing the right thing for people and the environment has allowed the brand to create a retail experience that very few stores can replicate. In 2008, Jimbo’s eliminated single-use plastic shopping bags, and in 2019, they reopened the Carmel Valley store with the first plastic-free water aisle on the West Coast.

Since 1999, Jimbo’s has donated close to $2 million to local charities and organizations. This month, the 40th Anniversary celebration includes a tree fundraising partnership with local non-profit Healthy Day Partners, doubling the Wooden Nickel Program donation from 5 to 10 cents throughout the month of July benefitting Home Start, Words Alive, Solana Center for Environmental Innovation, and FACE Foundation, and various in-store activations and promotions over the weekend of July 12-14.
