Chicago’s WNDR Museum will bring their one of a kind experiential art museum to San Diego. Pronounced “wonder,” WNDR Museum is known for mixing sound technology and visual arts for a fully immersive experience.

WNDR Museum is set to join The Broker’s Building at 422 Market Street, bringing their ever-changing exhibits to the fully restored and modernized historic building in the Gaslamp Quarter

While details are sparse at the moment, WNDR San Diego is said to be a scaled version of their original museum in Chicago which features 20+ installations.

Described as a cultural and artistic hub, the WNDR experience is known for presenting exhibits with high-sensory elements like flashing lights and sound. The WNDR Light Floor display consists of 100s of motion sensored LED floor panels which activate unique animated graphics.

A recent food permit filing with the city suggests a cafe or bar to be included at the site. One of the museum’s regular 21+ events is WNDR After Dark, which features themed DJs and live performances along with gourmet popsicles from local vendors.

WNDR Museum is very early in their planning of their plans for San Diego and are seeking a local General Manager to head up the latest outpost. Get to know WNDR Museum by following on Instagram and visit their Website if you’re planning a trip to Chicago.
