I lived in the bay area for 10 years during the 80’s. When I was on ‘the other side of the bay’ this was my go to spot for lunch. The food was always delicious and the atmosphere warm and friendly. I still have Alice’s cookbook which has become a bit dog-eared over the years.
When I live in Oakland, my husband and were very much frequent regulars. When we moved to Sacramento and would drop in for dinner, staff still remembered us. I have fond memories of beautiful and delicious food served with wonderful wine and terrific service.
