A brand new Taco Bell will be arriving later this year in Pleasanton.

Coming to 4210 Rosewood Drive, the new Taco Bell will be moving into the Rose Pavilion Shopping Mall. A Taco Bell across the street at 4001 Santa Rita Road is expected to close to make way for the new store.

Operating as Jingle Bells LLC, the franchise group that will run this Taco Bell is owned by Surainder Singh. One of the most expansive franchise groups in the Bay Area, Jingle Bells is determined to become the best Taco Bell franchise in not just California, but the entire world.

In a decision that was hotly debated at prior city council debates, the new Taco Bell will be opening with a drive through service counter, unique among the local Taco Bells. Proponents advocate that the drive-through will aid the ease of service and provide residents with a more efficient experience, while critics argue that the addition of a drive-through will increase regional traffic and congestion. Despite the objections, the city moved forward with the approval and now locals will be able to order Taco Bell directly from the convenience of their car.

The new store will be replacing an Oil Changer that previously occupied the location. Nearby food options include a Panda Express, Starbucks, China Lounge, KFC, and Fat Fish Sushi. While the Taco Bell across the street on Santa Rita remains operational, it is expected to be slowly phased out as the Rosewood Drive location begins its launch, which Singh estimates will be around January 2022.
