According to a recently submitted permit application, a new coffee shop, Cafe Parisien, is coming to Shattuck Avenue in Berkeley.

If the cafe takes over the spot that the owner, Ahcene Mklat, is eyeing, it will land in Normandy Village near establishments such as the vegetarian restaurant Cha-Ya, Crepevine, and the French eatery Grégoire.

Mklat tells What Now San Francisco that he hasn’t signed the lease yet, but details will be confirmed and more information will be available in the next few months.

What we do know is that Cafe Parisien will serve coffee-based beverages.

An anticipated opening date hasn’t been announced yet, so stay tuned for updates.
