According to a recently filed business license application, a mysterious new coffee shop is coming to 1122 University Avenue in Berkeley. The address is home to 1122 U Apartments — an apartment community geared towards university students — and nearby establishments include Eat at Thai, Everett & Jones Barbeque, and La Mission.
What Now San Francisco briefly spoke to owner Jabriel Isa, who confirmed the address, but he remained cryptic about the restaurant’s most pertinent information, such as name, menu, and opening dates, deepening the intrigue surrounding this new concept.
Unfortunately, the application in question does not reveal much insight into the project. All that can be gathered is that the restaurant will feature indoor seating and take up over 2,000 square feet of space within an in-line suite.
