According to SF Eater, “a huge food and drink project is opening at San Francisco’s picturesque Presidio Tunnel Tops” at 201 Halleck Street.

The Mess Hall at the Presidio is described as a “multi-hyphenate space” that will contain a food hall, an all-day cafe, and a cocktail bar backed by the Mess Hall Group.

Specific concepts have not been announced yet, but Chef Peter Serpico is “leading the development of Mess Hall’s various food concepts,” a spokesperson tells Eater.

For readers who are unfamiliar with Serpico, he was formerly Head Chef at Momofuku Ko and Director of Culinary Operations for the Momofuku group before he debuted Serpico in Philadelphia in 2013.

Additionally, Zach Negin — the owner of Tabula Rasa Bar and Shop and the Silverlake Lounge — will “work on a menu of cocktails and nonalcoholic drinks, as well as curating a list of craft beers and wines for the space.”

The Mess Hall at the Presidio is slated to open in 2025. Stay tuned for updates.
