According to a recently submitted permit application, a new Pakistani food restaurant called Vegan N’ Chicken is gearing up to debut in Berkeley.

Coming to 1918 San Pablo Avenue, the concept will land near establishments such as Everett & Jones Barbeque, Kabana, and Rainbow Donuts.

What Now San Francisco reached out to Vegan N’ Chicken’s owner, Sultan Bhatti, to inquire about the expansion, but he could not provide additional information before the time of publication.

The upcoming Berkeley spot will mark the restaurant’s second location — with its first at 5337 Valley View Road in El Sobrante — and locals can expect to find vegan and vegetarian curry dishes and biryanis, as well as meat-based options such as lamb vindaloo, chicken tikka masala, and prawn tandoori, on the menu.

An opening date has not been announced yet, so stay tuned for updates.
