According to a recently shared press release, a new 108-key boutique resort is preparing to open in Healdsburg, marking the “first ground-up build from culinary-first hotel brand Appellation.”
“Appellation Healdsburg is our vision for hospitality fully realized, where the beauty of wine country, the warmth of community, and the power of food come together,” shares the co-founder and COO of Appellation, Christopher Hunsberger.
He continues, “As our first new-build hotel, Appellation Healdsburg is an authentic expression of what we believe modern travelers are looking for: approachable luxury in the form of meaningful experiences, engagement with the surrounding community, and comfort and connection over formality and extravagance.”
Coming to 101 Dovetail Lane, the establishment will land near the retirement community Ensō Village, the Healdsburg Fire Station, and the winery Ridge Vineyards.
Charlie Palmer, co-founder and CEO of Appellation, adds, “Chris and I have spent decades building a community in Healdsburg — the town we call home, and one defined by its farmers, vintners, and artisans.”
“Appellation Healdsburg offers guests a window into what it is like to actually live here – whether that means rubbing shoulders with our neighbors over a glass of wine, perusing the downtown farmer’s market, or indulging in ingredients harvested just down the road,” he continues.
There will be two dining concepts at the hotel, Folia Bar & Kitchen — introduced as a 204-seat signature seafood restaurant that will also offer handcrafted pasta, fresh-baked sourdoughs, and artisanal butter, as well as a selection of cocktails and wines — and Andy’s Beeline Rooftop, an 89-seat, more casual option, where patrons can enjoy “shareable bites and elevated snacks designed to pair perfectly with garden-infused cocktails, crisp local wines, and slow sunsets.”
