Popular San Francisco bakery Arsicault, known by locals for its croissants, plans to open a new location in Mission Bay.
Owner Armando Lacayo shares with What Now San Francisco that the business is expanding to Mission Rock — joining a development that’s been underway for the last 13 years — where it will soon neighbor incoming food and dining tenants Ike’s Love & Sandwiches and Proper Food.
Consisting of four separate buildings, each designed by a different architect, Arsicault is moving into a space designed by Studio Gang — an American architecture and urban design practice founded and led by architect Jeanne Gang.
For readers who are unfamiliar with Ariscault, the French bakery currently operates two locations in the Bay Area, one in Richmond District and the other near Mid-Market, and is known for pastries such as croissants, scones, and kouign amann — a Breton cake made with laminated dough.
Lacayo shares that Arsicault in Mission Rock is slated to open next spring.
