Arthur Mac’s Little Snack is coming to 5614 Bay St. at Bay Street Emeryville this year, according to a pending liquor license found in state public records. The concept is an offshoot of Longfellow beer garden Arthur Mac’s Tap & Snack, operated by Farm League Restaurant Group.
Joel DiGiorgio, co-founder of Farm League, confirmed with What Now San Francisco that they are indeed building upon the Arthur Mac’s concept with this new indoor-outdoor restaurant in Emeryville, which they look forward to unveiling in mid-fall.
Arthur Mac’s Little Snack will have a similar menu to its sister restaurant, honing in on their cold-fermented brick oven pizza with by-the-slice specials intended for faster speed of service. They will have a full liquor license to highlight their house-canned cocktail program, which can be enjoyed on-site or taken to-go.
Cocktails will also be served on draft, in addition to more than 20 craft beers and wines sourced locally. DiGiorgio says that this Emeryville outpost has a smaller footprint but will be made to feel similar to the Longfellow spot. The space boasts an alcohol friendly outdoor patio with fire pits, heaters and of course, will feature retro arcade games.
“We see this as an opportunity to be a bit more dynamic,” DiGiorgio said in a phone call Thursday evening. “We’re excited about venturing into the ‘elevated mall’ space, which perhaps might even lead into airports and stadium concessions.”
Still, they have to see what reception will be like when they open Arthur Mac’s Little Snack later this year. Based on Arthur Mac’s existing reputation, we bet that only great things are on the horizon.
