According to SFist, Bernal Heights burger joint Bernal Star is relocating.

Coming to 419 Cortland Avenue, the home of Vega Pizzeria — another concept founded by the same owners, husband and wife duo, Giuseppe Manna and Vega Brady — the eatery will land near establishments such as Go Duck Yourself, Progressive Grounds, and Wild Side West.

What Now San Francisco reached out to Brady to inquire about the transition, but she could not provide additional information before publication.

Nevertheless, SFist reports that the move is “due to a rent dispute.”

For readers who are unfamiliar with Bernal Star, the burger and brunch restaurant was founded 13 years ago and is known as a “neighborhood place serving American comfort food, baked goods, and wine.” Its menu boasts salads, burgers, sandwiches, and sides including Brussel sprouts, fried calamari, and artichoke hearts.

A reopening date has not been announced yet, so stay tuned for updates.
