A Georgian restaurant called Bevri is getting ready to open in the former Opa! Authentic Greek Cuisine at 325 Main St. in Los Altos. Owner Pavel Sirotin tells What Now San Francisco that they are about to begin interior renovations in preparation for an opening this spring. The restaurant also has a pending ABC license with the state of California.
Bevri, which means “a lot” in Georgian, was founded by Sirotin with his brother and sister-in-law, Maxim and Tanya Razumova. After living in the Bay Area for a few years and noticing the lack of Georgian restaurants, Sirotin decided to open his own.
The team opened their original restaurant in Palo Alto in 2018. Since then, Bevri has been a local hit for khachapuri (hot and gooey cheese bread), khinkali (Georgian-style juicy dumplings), and their unique list of Georgian wines.
Based on the success of their Palo Alto restaurant, opening a second one was a no brainer. “When we first came there, it just impressed us so much,” Tanya Razumova tells Los Altos Town Crier of their next location. Los Altos will serve the same delectable menu as the Palo Alto restaurant but may experiment with new dishes down the road. For more information, visit www.bevri.com.
