Bober Tea & Mochi Dough are opening a new location at 1790 S. Bascom Ave. at the Hamilton Shopping Center in Campbell. A lease signed for the 1,562 square-foot space indicates that the unit will undergo a full build-out to support this tandem operation specializing in bubble tea and mochi doughnuts.

Bober Tea originated in Singapore, where its founders traveled to Taiwanese, Japanese, and Chinese boba shops in search of the best qualities for the perfect bubble tea. Focusing on brewing premium tea and crafting high-grade boba, the brand also understands that part of the appeal is aesthetics, which is why Bober Tea is known for their Instagram-worthy drink combinations all over the world.

While many Bober Tea locations are concentrated in Singapore, they’ve also opened shops in the Philippines, China, and now, the U.S. The franchise recently announced plans for its Campbell location, saying that they are aiming to open in early 2022.

It will be owned and operated by Irene Garcia, who got her start working at Bober Tea’s first U.S. location in Sacramento, where Mochi Dough was introduced over the summer. In addition to quality bubble teas, they now also sell trendy mochi doughnuts in various flavors. It seems that many of the new Bober Tea locations will follow suit.

The franchiser for Bober Tea USA is Michelle Moore, who is currently working to get eight Bay Area locations, including Campbell, up and running on top of the three existing locations in Sacramento and Michigan. Neither Moore or Garcia could be reached for comment.
