Cafe Nostos in Berkeley sadly closed its doors at the end of last month, but it seems as though the space is now in trusted hands. The restaurant at 1930 Martin Luther King, Jr. Way was sold to Cafe Etoile

While many loyal customers frequented Cafe Nostos for its strong coffees and delectable pastries, they might be pleased to learn that they can still return to this address for similar fare. While details are scant about Cafe Etoile’s menu, a zoning certificate business license approved by the city notes that there will be coffee, tea and “some food such as waffles, sandwiches and salad.”

What Now San Francisco has reached out to the owner of Cafe Etoile, who told us that they expect to open in just a few weeks. They were otherwise unable to disclose further details about the business. Given that their projected opening is right around the corner, they are likely quite busy getting everything ready to go.

Looks like we’ll just have to wait and see what Cafe Etoile has in store for us. Luckily, we apparently won’t have to wait for long.
