According to a recently submitted permit application, Cafenated Coffee Company plans to debut a new outpost in Oakland.

Coming to 2337 Broadway, the coffee shop will land near establishments such as Berryland, Delah Coffee, and the beer garden Drake’s Dealership.

What Now San Francisco reached out to the concept’s co-owner, Parisa Jamasbi, to inquire about the expansion, but she could not provide additional information before publication.

For readers who are unfamiliar with the business, Cafenated Coffee Company offers a brief introduction on its website: “Cafenated is a farm-to-cup coffee roasting company that sources green beans directly from well-established women’s coffee farm cooperatives in Central America, South America, and Africa.”

The statement continues, “Our mission is to cut out the middlemen and brokers who take precious profit from these women and supply the coffee directly from the cooperatives to you, the consumer. Women are underrepresented, underpaid, and underappreciated in the global coffee supply chain.”

An opening date has not been announced yet, so stay tuned for updates.
