According to a recently submitted permit application, a new eatery listed as Bitterbuck is getting ready to open in San Jose.

Coming to 30 E Santa Clara Street, the concept will land near establishments such as Ike’s Love & Sandwiches, Pastelaria Adega, and Scratch Cookery.

What Now San Francisco reached out to Bitterbuck’s owner, Tomoyo Yoshinaga, to inquire about the upcoming spot, but he could not provide additional information before publication.

Yoshinaga is also a co-owner of local bar Cash Only, which introduces itself on its Google profile as “the Bay Area’s only West Coast honkytonk serving whiskey, cold beer, [and] cocktails .”

An opening date has not been announced yet, so stay tuned for updates.
