According to SF Eater, the new pizzeria Cheezy’s Artisan Pizza is opening at Saluhall this spring, taking over the former Smorgsland space.
Located at 945 Market Street, Cheezy’s will land alongside existing Saluhall tenants such as Casa Borinquena, Kayma, and La Venganza.
What Now San Francisco reached out to the concept’s co-owner, David Jacobson — of Pizza My Heart, Pizzeria Delfina, and Flour + Water Pizzeria — to inquire about his plans for the spot, but he could not provide additional information before publication.
Nevertheless, the Journal reports that “there’ll be 12-inch pizzas, five day-fermented sourdough crust, [and an approach] described as a ‘reinvention of neo-Neapolitan and Grandma-style pizza.'”
Cheezy’s Artisan Pizza is slated to open sometime in March. Stay tuned for updates.
